Position Summary: 

The Planning Supervisor has responsibility for directing the efforts of a team of associates that plan and schedule production for product families or facilities.  

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Manage and develop scheduling and planning associates. 

• Assist to eliminate roadblocks impacting overall supply chain 

• Act as a liaison between materials, customer service, and manufacturing. 

• Develop presentations to communicate pertinent information throughout the organization 

• Lead or play a key role in various projects to improve overall supply chain 

• Key role in developing future state roadmaps per site pertaining to overall business strategy  

• Oversee and drive improvement in the key departmental metrics (schedule integrity, delivery performance/service, lead times, capacity planning and constraints resolution, inventory.) 

• Integrate supply chain enhancements as applicable. 

• Oversee execution of inventory policy changes. 

• Monitor service goals and results and deploy tactics to improve. 

• Be able to influence peers and share best practices. 

• Be able to think outside the box to develop new solutions and improve various processes. 

  • As a leader, you are expected to know, enforce, and appropriately escalate all Swagelok associate policies. 

 

Scope: Multi-site responsibilities with minimal travel between buildings 

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree or related work experience  

• 2+ years related scheduling or operations experience  

• Good communication and leadership skills  

• Problem solving and analytical skills 

• Competent in using MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

• Knowledge of MRP II concepts, and APS 

   

Preferred: 

• APICS certification
