Position Summary: 

At this level an associate will learn the essential skills and knowledge of the job and demonstrates an aptitude for the position. The PROO1 operator will be closely supervised during the initial training period, but is expected to become increasingly independent. The associate should be able to perform routine tasks/duties, recognize problems, and know when to seek help.   

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Processing parts in accordance with established quality and quantity standards 

  • Demonstrating flexibility in work assignments to meet customer needs 

  • Demonstrating strong teamwork 

  • Support company philosophies, systems, and policies through actions and words 

  • Use appropriate equipment in processing operations.  

  • Able to follow safety requirements with regards to Personal Protective Equipment.  

  • Maintain basic knowledge of chemical and shop safety.  

  • Show beginning knowledge of quality standards.  

  • Operate material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. 

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area and help with company housekeeping per procedures. 

  • Escalates process, product or mechanical issues appropriately & in a timely manner. 

  • Can perform basic computer requirements such as Data Entries. 

  • Aware of Chemical hazards and effects. 

  • Can recognize where Walker Stacker & Tow Motors are used, stored & restricted area for each. 

  • Can use pallet jacks and Hoist appropriately and safely. 

  • Understands preventive maintenance and daily work routines. 

  • Follows proper evacuation & power outage procedures. 

  • Capable of reading, properly handling and using Gages assigned to a work center on the Gage loan ticket. 

  • Follows standard work for Part Segregation by material (colored coded Fractional, Metric & Exotic)  

  • Capable of understanding work requirements for assigned process lines. 

  • Capable of verifying orders to paperwork using the Production Orders and verifying Trace Ids. 

  • Use tags, bags, and containers to separate or designate different materials. 

  • Capable of understanding work center requirements and JLG level Yellow, Black & Green. 

  • Understands 10CFR21. 

  • Ensures that scrap is placed in the proper location and is recorded using Data Entry.  

  • Capable of using part handling procedures effectively.  

  • Can performs Quality Checks 

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

 

Required: 

  • High school diploma or GED required 

  • Processing experience preferred or related job aptitude (e.g. ability to troubleshoot and follow instructions) 

  • Able to read and follow standard work instructions  

  • Recognize functional and cosmetic defects.  

  • Applicant must be able to multi task and prioritize.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements: 

 

 

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.  

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. 

  • Must be able to lift between 20-35 pounds 

  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety boots, face shield, plastic aprons, safety glasses, rubber or latex gloves.) 

  • Can work on their feet per work center requirements 

  • May be required to work in a non-air-conditioned environment 

  • May be required to pass pre-employment and annual Vision Acuity tests
