Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Analyst will support all aspects of the tax function at Swagelok, including all US related income and non-income tax filings, accounting for income taxes, tax audit support, tax planning strategies, and other special projects.  Additional responsibilities include assisting the Tax Strategy Manager in the administration of the retirement plan and ESOP related matters.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 *Assist Tax Strategy Manager and external firm in the preparation of all Federal, State, and Local tax return filings.
 *Prepare various schedule M and tax credit supporting workpapers for Federal tax return compliance including but not limited to R&D tax credit, UNICAP, LIFO, meals & entertainment analysis, and expense apportionment for foreign tax credit calculations.
 *Assist in the data collection, financial statement disclosures, and correspondence with external audit firm for the annual US GAAP financial statements.
 *Gather data and prepare all supporting apportionment files related to State and Local tax returns.
 *Prepare Federal tax estimate calculations and administer all Federal, State and Local tax estimate and extension payments timely.
 *Perform tax research and assist with tax planning strategies, including memo preparation and presentation of proposals to management.
 *Manage all items related to personal property and real estate taxes, including pursuing tax saving opportunities.
 *Assist in the coordination and correspondence of all tax audits and correspondence with tax notices.
 *Prepare non-profit tax return for the foundation.
 *Assist in the management and preparation of tax filings related to VAT, GST, HST/QST, non-income based state taxes, and sales & use taxes.
 *Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations and provide general ledger support related to all tax related accounts.
 *Assist Tax Strategy Manager in the administration of the retirement plan with external record keeper including assisting in annual retirement plan contributions and ESOP administration.
 *Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA or advanced degree preferred
• 3+ years of public accounting or relevant industry experience
• Intermediate to advance MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Must be able to handle multiple projects
• Changing priorities and be deadline sensitive
• Excellent communication, analytical and mathematical skills, along with the ability to problem solve
• Self-Starter who works independently as well as in a team setting

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:


• Physical requirements associated with normal office working environment.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
