Senior Supply Chain Analyst

A Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for analyzing, recommending and executing organizational improvements.  A Supply Chain Analyst will make recommendations to the Management Team around the topics of forecasting, inventory, capacity, labor and/or suppliers. In this position, the Supply Chain Analyst will prepare, analyze and manage the financial and business information needed to make sound decisions and process improvements.  Makes recommendations to the Executive Team on labor and inventory management as well as machine utilization.


Responsible for leading change initiatives within the supply chain.  The primary function of this position is to create new or modify existing supply chains. Overall responsibility for creating and improving supply chains across the organization.  Contributes ideas to establish robust, cost effective supply chains that meet the needs of the customer.  This position will be required to understand and communicate project requirements, impacts, and progress to all affected departments.            


A Customer Service Analyst you will be responsible for collaborating with the Quote to Cash process stream as well as across business streams to learn the end to end business process and to ensure that SAP changes in your area have the desired down-stream impacts.  You will work with the Process and Data Lead to prioritize issues and incidents in SAP in order to troubleshoot and test, propose and implement solutions, create standard work, and create and conduct training.  You will support project initiatives originating from the Business Process Committee and from the line of business.  You will collaborate with the Process and Data Lead to communicate SAP process changes.




  • Conducts quantitative analysis to identify opportunities to achieve business imperatives.  Initiates further analysis and recommendations based on findings.
  • Proactively identify potential disruptions to the supply chain.  Collaborates across functional groups to prevent disruptions leveraging available system solutions, relationships and escalating when appropriate.
  • Understands and can teach supply chain concepts across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrates overall knowledge of Swagelok end to end supply chain, applies knowledge to achieve organizational impact
  • Support and begins to lead project teams working to drive optimization and overall supply chain success. Utilize project management methodologies.
  • Creates and presents recommendations in a concise manner to management.
  • Cultivates and leverages relationships across multiple disciplines to resolve supply chain issues.
  • Able to independently extract and interpret data and complete complex ad hoc analyses.
  • Continuously looks for ways to benchmark and improve processes through analysis of methods and models.
  • Makes adjustments to the analysis using the most effective method.
  • Acts as the primary contact within the Supply Chain for the testing and implementation of processes and application improvements.
  • Analyzes requirements to troubleshoot problems and/or answer questions.
  • Demonstrates overall knowledge of Swagelok’s end to end supply chain, applies knowledge to achieve organizational impact.
  • Collaborates across functional groups and makes recommendations leveraging available system solutions and escalating when appropriate.
  • Generates new ideas and willingly supports change initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned



Required: 3+ years of experience in previous supply chain/customer service positions 

  • Understands supply chain or customer service functions throughout the different departments.  Utilizes this knowledge to collaborate cross-functionally resulting in decisions that benefit the greater supply chain or customer service.  Continues to build knowledge, organizational and business awareness.
  • Demonstrates the initiative to build knowledge, organizational and business awareness
  • Some experience with project management methodology, process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma), or statistics.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in teams and use multiple systems and processes to handle changing requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP
    Preferred: Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of supply chain/customer service positions, subject matter expert on how supply chain business processes and systems work
