Position Summary:

The primary focus of the Senior HRIS Analyst is the enhancement, support and maintenance of all Human Resource Management System supported by the HRIS team. This individual serves as a technical and functional point-of-contact for assigned areas and will council process owners on data integrations and key dependencies.  He/she will assist subject matter experts on solution design, ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyze data flows and recommend process improvement opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support for HR, including, but not limited to, enhancing, troubleshooting, researching and resolving HR system problems.
  • Recommend and influence system solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Defines testing approach to system upgrades. Coordinate with IT resources the upgrade plan. Creates test scenarios and assists project team members in performing tests in HR and Timekeeping System such as Kronos, and SuccessFactors.
  • Manages small to medium size projects and provide project oversight from design through implementation.  Assists HRIS team members on project development.
  • Provides updates on project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that occur during the course of the project. 
  • Performs administrative tasks such as entering time, updating work requests, updating application knowledge base’s, creating and maintaining end user documentation, providing status reports, etc.
  • Reports effort and duration to Project Manager and/or Supervisor for assigned tasks.
  • Recommend process improvement on managing daily and scheduled reports. Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.  Completes alterations to existing configuration/reports to gather and report data.
  • Recommends process improvements based on system functionality and company policy. 
  • Creates calendar of reporting needs within organization, such as S&OP, quarterly scorecard, and other reports needed in the organization.
  • Develops and maintain best practices documentation.
  • Serve as HRIS Administrator, which includes updating of code tables, benefit plans, attendance plans, Organization codes, and System Security.
  • This position also has understanding of all HR related data (SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos, etc.) and participates in both local and corporate governance.
  • Provides system and security administration, end user technical support and problem solving, process flow documentation and process change requests.
  • Trouble-shoots moderately complex customer and system issues including error messages, login difficulties, access denials, data issues and process failures in both HCM and Timekeeping System.
  • Has good knowledge of project management methodology.
  • Translates complex business requirements into feeds and reports.
  • Independently analyze results, creating valuable business analytics and impactful metrics.

 

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred and minimum 2 to 3 years of HRIS or specialist experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Working knowledge of and experience in utilizing and creating databases and spreadsheets.
  • Advanced Excel, MS Access knowledge

 

Preferred

  • Systems implementation experience preferred.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central preferred
  • Must have knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems and interface experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand HR function, processes, and strategies linked to business goals. Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of computer operations and computer systems analysis, with the ability to solve problems related to computer system software and operations.
  • Experience with system implementations including the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand HR function, processes, and strategies linked to business goals
  • Experience with SuccessFactors
  • Knowledge of BI, HRIS and payroll systems and interface experience strongly preferred
