Position Summary:

Our Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Employer Branding is the driving force in building and maintaining Swagelok's employer brand and giving it a strong, distinctive, and consistent voice across the globe. S/he will build strategies and lead execution of communications programs that position Swagelok as an employer of choice, supporting business goals for talent acquisition and associate engagement. This role has additional responsibilities for corporate brand identity and social media community management as part of the global Corporate Communications team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Employer Brand
•    Extend the employer brand messaging framework across the candidate and employee lifecycle to create and reinforce an authentic and consistent narrative about working at Swagelok.
•    Act as a champion for Swagelok's employer brand across the organization by creating opportunities for all associates to learn how to best promote Swagelok as a great place to work.
•    Drive awareness and adoption of our employer brand messaging internally to provide more consistency and clarity to our brand externally.
•    Execute employer brand research as required to inform company recruiting activities and shape appropriate communication strategies in support of talent acquisition goals. 
 
Associate Engagement 
•    Ensure that Swagelok remains differentiated from our competitors by designing communications and experiences to support our desired associate experience. This includes but is not limited to creating new ways to bring our employer brand to life and working with our Global HR team to activate programs identified in our People Strategy. 
•    Support Swagelok's corporate social media presence, with focus on advising channel strategy team on content and holding team accountable for developing appropriate employer brand content. 
•    Partner with leaders to develop internal communications materials such as key messages, talking points and briefing documents to assist with local promotion of global messaging as well as develop communications materials to inform, engage and activate internal and community stakeholders in support of business goals. 
•    Provide media training and counsel to executive and senior leaders across the organization. 
 
Corporate Brand Identity    
•    Activate, empower, and manage the corporate brand community. Establish a communication cascade and strategy for global engagement with the Swagelok brand identity to promote standards, consistency in messaging, provide training, etc. 
•    Promote and champion the Swagelok brand internally and work with peers in Marketing and Sales to ensure understanding and awareness of the brand story across the enterprise.
•    Lead a multi-disciplinary team in proactively building strong, effective relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand and deliver effective solutions to meet their corporate brand needs. 
 
Team Development
•    Prioritize and assign communications projects (both one-offs and campaigns), experiences and events among his/her team to focus on the most important and meaningful projects, and leverage individual strengths, promote flexibility, grow and expand skills, and help each team member build meaningful relationships across the business.
•    Build relationships with key communications colleagues (corporate communications, marketing communications or sales communications), and partners/stakeholders to align efforts and improve associate experiences, reduce silos and deliver communications in the best interests of associates.
•    Develop and implement KPIs to measure the effectiveness of communications and events, and achieve maximum impact.
•    Cultivate a mindset of experimentation, agility and smart risk taking across the team to drive innovation and creativity.
•    Coach and develop a high-functioning, multi-disciplinary team of professional communicators. 
•    Stay current with trends in engagement and company culture, as well as external trends in the general culture and population.
•    Be accountable for internal budget.
•    As a leader, you are expected to know, enforce, and appropriately escalate all Swagelok associate policies.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


•    Bachelor degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Business.  MBA a plus.
•    Minimum 10 years of related experience in communications, marketing or HR roles of increasing responsibility
•    Knowledge and experience developing strong, clear and measurable marketing communications strategies, goals and plans aligned with business priorities.
•    Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
•    Exceptional verbal and written communications skills; articulate and comfortable with public speaking.
•    Prior consulting or customer services experience a plus.

•    Physical requirements associated with normal office working environment. 
•    Ability to operate standard office equipment.
