Senior Benefits & Technology Manager

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the design, management, analysis and implementation of domestic and global benefit programs (health and welfare, retirement, etc.).
This position will serve the role of a proactive subject matter expert, an innovative thinker, strong relationship builder, and business partner - facilitating business solutions through functional and technical expertise.

 

 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• In partnership with the Director, Global Total Rewards provide strategic vision and operational excellence in the oversight of benefits
• Oversee the communication, design, development, review, implementation and management of the administration of employee benefit programs, processes and practices
• Develop the long-term benefits strategic and technology roadmaps that will deliver solutions and tie to the overall benefits and associate strategy
• Lead benefit process and system optimizations
• Design benefits solutions based on technical expertise
• In partnership with Swagelok’s benefits broker establish a framework for monitoring benefit plan performance. Launch communications, targeted programs, etc. based on the performance analysis
• Stay informed of changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and ensure that benefit programs are compliant with current regulations and support the organization's strategic objectives
• Manage effective communication of benefit strategies and programs to drive associate engagement, return on investment and usage of benefits programs
• Oversee all leave administration programs
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor administrative costs and pricing of benefit programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternate methods of administration
• Manage strong cross-functional relationships with a significant emphasis on the Payroll, IT, and Retirement functions
• Coach, mentor and motivate team members
• Be a champion for innovation
• Direct reports: 3-5 associates

 

Required: 

-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Finance

-7+ years of experience in Human Resources, Business or Finance
-Strong working knowledge of Human Resource solutions strategies and tools
-Demonstrated experience in leading process optimization
-Demonstrated experience managing the benefits function
 -Demonstrated experience directly managing a team of people

 

Skills/Knowledge: 
Knowledge of best practices in benefit design and efficient benefits administration. Capability of effective planning and priority setting. Must have ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.  Excellent oral and written communications skills. Compliance focused. Analytical and detail-oriented; strong systems thinker and process improvement mentality.

 

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

• Physical requirements associated with normal office working environment.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
