Position Summary:
Reporting into the Manager of Product Compliance, this role plans and performs routine and unique compliance and audit assignments of substantial variety and moderate and high complexity, using established precedents.  Will take a strategic approach to evaluate the impact of and recommend new or changes to systems affected by global and regional laws and standards. Makes some independent decisions after collaboration with others and with some guidance from supervisor. Will effectively communicate at all levels to inform, build consensus and lead some projects. Will utilize project management methods to complete assignments, or to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of functional area as part of a corporate cross-functional project.  Shows technical leadership on compliance issues in areas of expertise. Participates effectively to accomplish goals on external committees as part of a corporate plan.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    May be regarded as a technical expert relative to certain approvals for products, markets or regions. 
•    Provide standard work and training to the organization relative to areas of expertise.
•    Develop tactics to obtain product approvals and conformance for a variety of products or to a variety of requirements as part of a program.
•    Design and develop departmental or organizational procedures to assure conformance, improve departmental efficiency and improve quality.
•    Work on key departmental projects and service requests from external departments.
•    Participate on large cross-functional projects as core team member. 
•    Provide standard work and training to the organization relative to areas of expertise.
•    Perform supplier relation’s role by developing and maintaining agency contacts.
•    Manage activities to a budget within area of responsibility

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

•    BS degree in engineering plus appropriate continuous training.  MBA a plus.
•    2+ years of experience with some work in related field, such as Product Engineering or Quality Engineering.
•    Demonstrates the ability to complete major and complex projects. 
•    Participates on multiple projects simultaneously.  
•    Advanced problem solving and significant decision making abilities.  
•    Strong oral and written communication. 
•    Capable of building consensus of team members. 
•    Strong computer and typical office software skills.
