PDL Finance (Process Data Lead)

We are an SAP environment and this resource will be the bridge between finance user requests and IT who will execute.

 

The preferred profile will:

  1. Problem solve, provide great customer service and liaison between Finance Dept's specific SAP requests (enhancements, new) and IT execution.
  2. Help associates within Finance with SAP access, create standard work and blueprints and be involved in the full lifecycle.

 

Position Summary:
Provides overall representation and leadership around a specific business process or processes and its related data and business system software components.  Works closely with business leadership and Finance department to implement, maintain and enhance process, data and business system capabilities.  Liaison between business and Finance.  Coordinates with other Process and Data Leads

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identifies and understands business requirements  and translates the requirements into implemented business system software functionality
• Benchmark similar processes and utilize/share best practices
• Responsible for working with business representatives to build and maintain process documentation (e.g., As Is, To Be, etc.)
• Identifies and recommends policy and procedure changes required to support new business processes.
• Identify process handoffs to other process areas and work with them to develop seamless transition of ownership and identification.
• Develops software configuration design and works with technical team members to oversee configuration execution.
• Design test scripts for all finance scenarios and co-ordination with all other workstreams needed
for validation.
• End to end Finance testing and validation of STO’s/ICTO’s based on Project needed.
• Ability to access the current process and make changes/streamline based on required needs.
• Ability to work on process and data transition from local systems to SAP for full integration.
• Mapping of GL accounts and creation of cost centers based on Swagelok schema’s per project.
• Responsible for testing in Dev/Quality environment for all projects along with reconciliation and definition of process.
• Approve/Manage/Enforce all security roles assignment. Define security roles for new integrations and acquisitions.
• Manage/approve and maintain master data quality like Chart of accounts, GL, Cost centers and vendors.
• Approve and work with finance department to complete all necessary month-end and year end tasks.
• Manage all Line of Business incidents and enhancements.
• Ability to work well with others at all levels within the organization. 
• Work with third party agencies on international projects.
• Works with technical resources to develop software proof of concept.
• Responsible for resolving software functionality gaps.
• Works with business representatives to design functional specifications (e.g., reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, enhancements, etc.)
• Provides business input to testing approach, materials and execution.
• Responsible for preparing business-perspective go/no-go evaluations for new functionality.
• Provides formal and informal end-user support and training.

Scope:
• Position will require off hours support to assist international locations.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required:
• College or university degree typically required or equivalent work experience that has provided significant business experience in a major area of a manufacturing or other related organization
• Understanding of business process and supporting data
• Deep functional understanding of business systems related to LOB functional areas and cross functional processes
• Leadership / management skills
• Strong communication ability
• Identify broad impacts to changes made to specific business processes and business systems
