Customer Contracts Manager

Position Summary:

Manages Swagelok Global Agreements to promote initiatives that help distributors grow and retain sales.  Negotiates initial pricing agreements between end-customers seeking a commercial relationship with Swagelok Participating Distributors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage Swagelok Global Agreements by executing account plans that help distributors grow and retain sales.  Plans include building strong end-customer relationships, executing sales plans, promoting new product commercialization, driving E-Commerce implementation, and establishing a global value proposition by account.
  • Follow established process maps when working on account issues, including negotiations, new account requests, and reporting.    Ensure that the interests of the distributors are considered in the execution of agreement activities.  Ensure that distributors understand agreement proposals, plans and trade-offs, so that the interests of the largest number of distributors are well represented.
  • Negotiate supply agreements with the Global Agreement accounts.  Typical negotiation points include discount rates, products included in the agreement, value added services, eCommerce provisions, site conversion opportunities, and payment terms.  In some instances, supporting the negotiation of unique terms & conditions between participating distributors and end-customers will be required.
  • Ensure that all Global Agreement proposals conform with all Swagelok policies and legal requirements and to Swagelok’s high standards of integrity. 
  • For active Global Agreement Accounts, meet regularly with distributors as well as customer contacts to promote and maximize the use of Swagelok products.  Identify new product and sales opportunities within customer accounts.  Work with distributors to document the value proposition and present the value provided by Swagelok distributors to the end-customer.  
  • Manage the maintenance of existing accounts, to include the administration of pricing changes & currency adjustments, updating site list in contract, and supporting audits.  Coordinate and ensure excellent performance in the support provided to the account by other Swagelok departments.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Education:           BS in business or engineering, an MBA preferred

Experience:         5-7 years general business experience, including 1-3 years working with large accounts
