Position Summary:
•    Supports one or more advanced quality technologies such as Smart gages
•    Is competent in programming, application and usage and possesses the skill for set-up and operation.  
•    Able to drive the development of new, complex uses for advanced quality technologies, and can recognize and solve all associated with the application and use of advanced quality technology without assistance.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Demonstrates all of the skills of the previous levels in addition to the following skills:
•    Develops & provides technical and detailed training to others as it relates to the technology, applications and use.
•    Researches, reports and provides guidance to others (e.g., product engineers, Rx, etc.) when the technology equipment is considered for alternative applications and locations or for newer versions of the same technology
•    Recommends hardware and tooling designs for the continued safe and valid operations of the technology
•    Acts as a mentor to peer group
•    Capable in the application and use of statistics for decision-making
•    Provides upper management and other decision-makers verbal updates through presentations as needed
•    Advanced proficiency in the use of the targeted quality technology (e.g., CMM, Eddy Current, etc.) and can train others
•    % of Time Spent Traveling:  < 10%

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required: Associate Degree in a scientific or other discipline related to the work (e.g., math, statistics, mechanics, machining technology, etc.).

Experience:  
•    External:  Minimum of 4 years of applicable quality / metrology experience preferably in the area(s) of technology available at Swagelok.  
•    Internal: Must be fully qualified as a Level 4 Advanced Technology Quality tech with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Level 4 and meeting all of the skills/knowledge, performance, and competency requirements.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:


•    Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
•    Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
•    Must be capable of standing for 8-12 hours a day, lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and lift 50 lbs occasionally.  Demonstrated manual dexterity required to properly handling all types of gages; instrumentation; computers and their peripherals; as well as electronics and other similar items commonly associated with high – tech inspection and test devices such as coordinate measuring machines for example.  Some squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching and twisting is required. In some environments, must be willing to work in enclosed/confined spaces.
•    Ability to pass vision acuity test with or without reasonable accommodation.
