Position Summary:

•            At this level the associate has advanced knowledge of all aspects machining and CMM processes. They are able to solve most non-routine process and CMM problems. The associate at this level has a greater awareness of the overall business and is able to recognize the need for and escalate process improvements to standard work that reduce cost and/or improve quality and delivery. They exhibit strong communication skills and seamlessly participates in routine interaction with associates and others from different functional areas. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Support production objectives by:

Process Ownership

•            Self-motivated, remains up-to-date and follows all safety guidelines, procedures and policies

•            Support of company philosophies, systems, and policies through actions and words.

•            Demonstrates proficient machining, communication, and troubleshooting.

•            Advanced troubleshooting of production problems relating to equipment, tooling, and processes

•            Be the subject matter expert in regards to the technical and mechanical portion of machining.

•            Assist in the development of new processes and/or standard work

•            Train and educate operators.

•            Offers ideas and looks for improvement of processes.

•            Drive changes to reduce cost and improve department metrics

•            Routinely collaborates engineering team to ensure alignment of standard process structure


CMM Ownership

•            Proficient in the proper use of the CMM quality technology and can train others (Piping & MHP)

•            Working knowledge of associated hardware, software and controller programming as applicable to the operation of the CMM quality technology

•            Demonstrates the ability to apply troubleshooting skills necessary to assure a qualified output

•            Diagnoses equipment problems related to quality risk and outcomes

•            Capable of product inspection and testing sufficient to validate the quality technology as well as to provide reports on its continued effectiveness at intended function

•            Suggests and makes modifications or improvements to the process of inspecting or testing products as applicable

•            Utilizes analysis methods such as P to T testing, linearity, stability, capability analysis, etc. with limited assistance

•            Understands statistics at a fundamental level and can apply them as directed

•            Routinely interfaces with product, process and quality engineering to assure the proper interpretation of requirements and application of the technology

•            Thorough knowledge of standard office software such as Word and Outlook and is advanced in the use of Excel


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



•            Associate Degree in a scientific or other discipline related to the work (e.g., math, statistics, mechanics, machining technology, etc.) or equivalent work experience

•            Advanced knowledge about the products, processes and equipment



•            Advanced technical training or equivalent

•            2 years of applicable quality / metrology experience preferably in the area of technology or equivalent education.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:



•            Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

•            Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

•            Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift Kegs and Boxes on a regular basis between 25 - 35 pounds and occasionally between 35 - 50 pounds. Considerable standing, stopping and bending is required.

•            Required to pass pre-employment and annual Vision Acuity tests
