Position Overview: 
The Engineering Manager provides transformational leadership that inspires a high performing engineering group within Swagelok manufacturing operations. Results will be recognized through sustained accomplishments to quality, cost and delivery goals using state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and lean principles. You will be responsible for leading 3-5 engineering leaders (direct reports) and 50-70 technicians and engineers (indirect reports).
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
•    Build a team of engineering supervisors and engineers with a wide range of skills and backgrounds to support the array of technical opportunities present
•    Partner with Operations, Quality Planning and Product Engineering Managers to set an overall vision for the advancement of the manufacturing operation
•    Assist with strategic planning for functional areas, establish objectives and define and prioritize key projects to support the plan
•    Coordinate with other functional supervisors and managers to plan projects and allocate resources.
•    Partner with Corporate Continuous Improvement team to execute a multimillion-dollar budget focused on strategically adding capital, maintaining the health of the shop floor equipment fleet and improving the operations by removing waste, adding automated solutions and compressing cells to improve efficiency.  
•    Communicate departmental project status to organizational leaders (i.e. monthly reports)
•    Maintain responsibility for a $40M-$60M department budget
•    All other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications, Education & Certifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline required (Engineering Degree, preferred)
•    Master’s Degree preferred
•    5+ years of engineering leadership experience
