Position Summary: 


Swagelok’s internship position with the Finance and Accounting group will encompass elements of both areas, including Cost, Financial Reporting, Risk Management, Audit, Tax and AP / AR. 


  • Finance / Accounting interns will primarily be responsible for owning and completing projects assigned based on priorities of the group during the summer, ensuring the projects will be relevant and visible to stakeholders. 
  • Perform ad hoc requests to analyze data sets, complete action items from financial meetings, and respond to intercompany stakeholder requests. 
  • Use SAP to develop and monitor standard costs on Swagelok part numbers. 
  • Work with Cost Accounting team on production order variances (standard vs actual cost).  
  • Assist in audit activities scheduled to occur during the summer (for example, audits of reporting at plant operations or accounting for assets). 
  • Contribute on tax form submissions and reviews, working mainly with consultants to ensure compliance. 
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to review routing, bill of material, and other operational data impacting cost and financials. 




Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 




  • Working toward an undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
