The Swagelok Career Development Program is a challenging, accelerated leadership and technical development program designed to attract and develop talent in the areas of engineering through carefully orchestrated job rotations. This program requires participants to demonstrate technical and leadership skills while rotating through 3 key assignments in their first 3.5 years of employment. The program provides exposure and experience to a variety of areas for a 12-18 month period, including product engineering, production supervision, manufacturing engineering, project engineering and quality engineering.  These business-critical assignments provide participants with broad, rich technical and business experiences to enable career growth.  The work experiences will be supplemented with ongoing mentoring and developmental support from key management associates.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Lead and support small to mid-size projects and or programs
  • Review and analyze best practices to determine, recommend and or implement next steps
  • Participate and lead LEAN/CEDAC and other similar type events
  • Gain knowledge of key programs and policies that are critical to the business
  • Achieve required leadership training according to schedule
  • Present end of rotation summary to key company leaders


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



  • A BS Degree in mechanical, industrial, material, electrical, welding or manufacturing engineering with a minimum of a 3.00


  • Co-op or other relevant experience in a professional engineering capacity is highly desirable
  • Strong technical aptitude. 
  • Displays disciplined problem solving. 
  • Excellent communicator. 
  • Capable of managing projects. 
  • Has the ability and desire to lead others. 
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities successfully in an organized and planned way. 
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Can analyze solutions and issues and forms recommendations by seeing issues from various angles. 
  • Displays a range of problem solving skills from logical and orderly to imaginative and creative.
  • Intellectually curious.
